One big, happy nonprofit family

WabiSabi held its annual August Nonprofit Partner Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center. WabiSabi, a fundraising organization that operates two thrift stores in Moab, gave $10,000 to 13 nonprofits from proceeds from the first half of 2014. Since 2002, WabiSabi has given over $270,000 back to the community through its Nonprofit Partner Program, which supports nonprofits that service the Moab community. In attendance were representatives from 13 WabiSabi Nonprofit Partner organizations: Arches Education Center, BEACON Afterschool Program, Canyonlands Community Recycling, Community Rebuilds, Grand County Family Support Center, The Humane Society of Moab Valley, KZMU Community Radio, the Moab Arts and Recreation Center, Moab Free Health Clinic, Moab Valley Multicultural Center, the Native American Club, Seekhaven Family Crisis Center, and the Youth Garden Project.
