Runners in a tight pack shortly after the start of the Red Hot 33k on Saturday, Feb. 15. The race, and a 55k race, took place in the Gemini Bridges area north of Moab. The fastest female runners were Megan Kimmel (2hrs 30min) of Silverton, Colo. for the 33k race, and Jodee Adams-Moore of Bellingham, Wash. (4hrs 31min) for the 55k race. The fastest men were Justin Ricks of Colorado Springs, Colo. (2hrs 7min) for the 33k and Alex Nichols of Colorado Springs, Colo. (3hrs 57min) for the 55k.
