The Grand County High School debate team traveled to Richfield to compete in a two-day tournament Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1. Stacey Andrus placed second in Lincoln-Douglas debate. Nat Smith placed second in extemporaneous speaking. Anna Scherer placed fourth and Skyler Johnson placed fifth in dramatic interpretation. Nat Smith and Emilia Cubelos placed fifth in public forum debate. The team placed seventh at the event. The team will compete in Beaver Saturday, Feb. 8 to prepare for region competition later this month.
