Nathan Shafer is the student of the month for the BEACON Afterschool program at Grand County Middle School for November.
He is the son Lloyd and Kim Shafer
“He was chosen as the student of the month because of his contagious happiness,” said Ashly Hunter, the Grand County Middle School site coordinator for BEACON. “He has participated in the majority of our afterschool activities and always brings a good attitude and the best music.”
Nathan Shafer is now in the robotics club and has been designated as the club DJ. He also participates in the Mastering the Matrix, the Thursday evening club designed for middle school students and their parents.
“Nathan is hard working, dependable and hold the current record for days of BEACON attendance,” Hunter said. “The first two students to attend BEACON 30 days will receive a trip to the Moab Adventure Park and Nathan is only days away.”
