The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) office in Moab reported 2.6 inches of rain during the storm cycle that began Monday, Sept. 9 and ended Saturday, Sept. 14. Ed Grote, who manages the weather station for USGS, said that the average rainfall for the entire month of September would be .85-inch. Frank Mendoca who manages a weather station in Castle Valley recorded 2.3 inches of rain during the same storm cycle. The Maze District of Canyonlands National Park recorded 3.49 inches and Arches National Park recorded 1.74 inches during the same time period.
