Moab Sea Devils place first

The Moab Sea Devils took first place at their End of Summer Splash that included teams from Price and Monticello.

Total score for both Moab Sea Devils boys and girls was 1867. The Castle Valley Barracudas from Price earned 1515 points and the Monticello team earned 404.

The breakdown by gender was 1212 for Moab girls; 872 for Castle Valley and 148 for Monticello. Moab boys earned 655 points, followed closely by Castle Valley with 643 points and trailed by Monticello with 256.

Moab did well in mixed relays.

Moab placed first in the mixed age 8 and under 100-yard medley with swimmers Cadence Kasprick, Rhi Hren, Nick Hren and Indiana Richards completing in 1:41.87.

It also placed first in the mixed age 11 to 12 200-yard medley with swimmers Mary Kimmerle, London Richards, Braxten Pierce and Conner Ainge with a time of 2:28.47. These swimmers also took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:56.62.

Moab’s mixed age 9 to 10 took first in the 100-yard freestyle relay with swimmers Emree Olsen, Tava Walling, Stryder Young and Zoe Kosa with a time of 1:20.57.

Mary Kimmerle and London Richards placed first and second respectively in four girls age 11 to 12 races at the meet. Kimmerle placed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:08.25, followed by Richards with a time of 1:23.50. Kimmerle took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 30.85, followed by Richards with a time of 32.69; Kimmerle also placed first in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 35; followed by Richards with a time of 36.41. Kimmerle also placed first in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:13.90 and first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 33.91.

Braxten Pierce and Conner Ainge placed first and second in five boys age 11 to 12 races. Pierce placed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.25, followed by Ainge with a time of 1:22.78; Pierce took the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 41.09, followed by Ainge in second with a time of 51.99; Pierce placed first in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:13.37, followed by Ainge with a time of 1:43.00; Pierce placed first in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 35.45, followed by Ainge with a time of 53.91. Pierce placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 31.59, followed by Ainge with a time of 36.16.

Braxten Pierce also placed first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 35.53.

Emree Olsen placed first in the girls age 9 to 10 50-yard freestyle race with a time of 40.75. She also placed first in the 25-yard backstroke with a time of 22.23, followed by Zoe Kosa in second with a time of 24.68.

Delanee Olsen placed first in the age 13 to 14 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:30.02. She also placed first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 44.88 and first in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 44.78.

Drake Hackney placed first in the boys age 15 to 18 200-yard IM with a time of 3:04.51, followed by Jayden Olsen in second with a time of 3:41.94. Jayden Olsen placed first in the boys age 15 to 18 200-yard freestyle with a time of 3:04.03.

Indiana Richards placed first in the girls age 8 and under 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 27.85; and in the 25-yard butterfly with a time of 24.44.

London Richards placed first in the girls age 11 to 12 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 42.10.

River Richards placed first in the girls age 13 to 14 50-yard backstroke with a time of 39.22

Alexa Pierce placed first in the girls age 13 to 14 50-yard freestyle with a time of 29.75; the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:15.91; and the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.72.

Cedar English placed first in the boys age 9 to 10 50-yard freestyle race with a time of 37.69.
