You are not alone

We live in a place that shows off God’s greatest handy-work. On one side, we wake up to the greatest red rock formations that you will ever see, and on the other side, we have the high peaks of the La Sal mountain range.

But in the midst of this beauty, we have the distractions of the world. God created all things for his enjoyment and for our enjoyment. He never wanted us to feel alone. He created us to have fellowship with him.

I know this to be true, by the reading of his word, and seeing his handy-work each day.

While volunteering as Chaplain, in our community, I have had the good fortune of visiting with various individuals and their families in the Canyonlands Care Center and at the hospital. I visit with those that are sick and those needing to feel that they are not alone. For you see, God never leaves us. It’s we that leave him.

If you want to see what a simple hello, or a smile can do, then visit the Canyonlands Care Center.

So you see, you never have to be alone, there are many churches, as well as other organizations in our community that can help you. Most of all, I want you to understand that God is only a prayer away. The Bible tells us that we all have sinned and have come short of the Glory of God.

But, he also tells us that he loves us so much he gave his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to be made man and then be put to death on the cross, then be raised from the dead. This is so we can have everlasting life. He died for all of our sins. This is the God that never wants you to be alone or feel alone. For we are his children, and as with any father, he hurts when even one of his children is lost.

Let me end by saying that; yes, at times we may feel hurt, dismayed or lost and not loved, but all those feelings can be put asunder because they are things of the world. Yes, they are real, but there is hope through Jesus Christ. You are not alone Moab. God’s love is there for the taking. Reach out and receive it.
