Larry Major Bowerman

Larry Major Bowerman, age 63, died, Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 after a long battle with Hepatitis C. Bowerman was born May 9, 1949 in Glendale, Ariz., to Leroy and Marioliver (Polly) Bowerman.

He graduated from Monticello High School in 1967. After graduation he moved to San Francisco, California and then up north to Burnt Ranch, CA. He was a bricklayer and poured concrete by trade.

Moved to Green River in 1992. He helped his mother sell Green River Melons and worked for the Dunham Melon stand.

He had an interest in sailboats, airplanes, and reading books. A year before he died he started writing a book about small mistakes in your life that have serious affects.

He is survived by his daughter, Mithrell Bowerman, Santa Cruz, CA; mother, Marioliver (Polly) of Green River; sister, Judy (Tom) Hills, Eatonville, WA.; brothers, Von (Cindy) of Green River, Paul (Jeannine) of Logandale, NV.; eight nieces, one nephew and their spouses, eight great-nieces and nine great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Leroy and niece Katina.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Elgin Cemetery, Green River.
