Upcoming Moab Recreation Programs

Youth Tackle Football

Sept. 1 to Oct. 20

Division I – sixth and seventh grade player assessment and draft is from 5 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22 at the Center Street Ball Park. All players must attend. Division II – fourth and fifth grade player assessment and draft is from 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Center Street Ball Park. Games are played on weeknights and Saturday mornings against other Moab teams as well as teams from the surrounding area. (Some travel required).

Youth Volleyball

Sept. 12 to Oct. 23

Assessments for third and fourth grade players are at 5:15 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Center Street Gym. Assessments for fifth and sixth grade players are at 5:15 p.m.,Wedenesday, Sept. 5 at the Center Street Gym. All games and practice will be in the Center Street Gym, 215 E Center St.

Flag Football

Sept. 13 to Oct. 25

First practice is at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Center Street Ball Park. Moab City Recreation’s Flag Football program is for first through third grade students. Teams practice on Tuesdays and play games on Thursdays. All practices and games are at the Center Street Ballpark.

Fall Coed Soccer

Sept.19 to Oct. 24

First practice is 5:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17 at the Center Street Ball Park. Soccer program is for five-year-olds to third grade with an emphasis on fun, skill development and the basic foundations of the game. Teams practice on Mondays and Wednesdays.

MRAC Attack Mini-triathlon

Start training now for the MRAC Attack Mini-triathlon on Saturday, Sept 8.

The Elite category involves a 5K run, a 10-mile bike ride, and a half-mile swim. The Open category consists of a one-mile run, a 5K mountain bike ride, and a 300-yard swim.

The Youth category, for those under the age of 12, features a half-mile run, a mile-long bike ride and a 150-yard swim. The event is designed for individuals and families of all ability levels. Race registration, start and finish lines for all three events will be at the MRAC, 374 Park Ave.
