Moab residents are asked for their cooperation and patience, as city road work begins on Friday, July 13.

The city’s contracted chip seal work will begin between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Roads need to be clear of all vehicles, garbage cans and trailers. Residents and guests should park all vehicles on side streets that are not affected by the chip seal.

Construction crews will immediately accommodate all emergencies.

Motorists should be aware of all traffic signs and road closures to help the crews better expedite the work.

Also, chip seal can be damaged by unnecessary traffic movement.

Project managers will be handing out door hangers the day before the work with more information and specific dates if the schedule changes due to weather or unforeseen issues.
