City’s chip seal project to start Friday

Moab residents are asked for their cooperation and patience, as city road work begins on Friday, July 13.

The city’s contracted chip seal work will begin between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Roads need to be clear of all vehicles, garbage cans and trailers. Residents and guests should park all vehicles on side streets that are not affected by the chip seal.

Construction crews will immediately accommodate all emergencies.

Motorists should be aware of all traffic signs and road closures to help the crews better expedite the work.

Also, chip seal can be damaged by unnecessary traffic movement.

Project managers will be handing out door hangers the day before the work with more information and specific dates if the schedule changes due to weather or unforeseen issues.

These are the streets that will be affected:

— 200 East from Center Street to 300 South

— Rosetree Lane/Tusher Street from 400 East to where it connects to the 200 South/Hillside Drive intersection.

— Nichols Lane from 400 East to the end of Nichols Lane

— 200 South from 400 East to the intersection of Rosetree Lane/Tusher Street

— Sundial Street from 400 East to where it connects to 200 South

— Bowen Circle from Locust to Locust

— Locust Lane from 400 East to Tusher Street intersection.

— Cottonwood Lane from 400 East to the end on Cottonwood Lane cul-de-sac

— Rowena Court from Cottonwood Lane to Rowena Court cul-de-sac

— Minor Court from 400 East to the end of Minor Court cul-de-sac.
